Wakefield Pupil Referral Units
Our collective aim is to re-engage young people with learning, engender resilience, transition them successfully to the next phase of their education and develop rounded responsible young adults.
To achieve this end we personalise all aspects of student life providing a range of learning environments and accreditation opportunities across the district.
The Wakefield PRU's come under the auspices of the Education Inclusion Service within Wakefield Local Authority's Children and Young People Directorate.
Young people within KS2, KS3 and KS4 attend our centres following a permanent exclusion from the district's range of Academies and Mainstream Schools.
The quality of student learning, progress, attainment, safeguarding and care across Wakefield PRU's is consistently good.

Sharing values, celebrating differences, embracing success.
We provide personalised education preparing our learners for the next phase of their lives.
The Wakefield PRUs aim to provide a personalised educational experience for all our learners by enabling them to achieve personal success and become productive, resilient, responsible members of society.
We believe all members of our learning community can realise their full potential through raised aspirations and high quality teaching, within a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. Re-engagement with education, through a celebration of achievement and effective guidance, will prepare learners as they move forward to the next stage of their lives for successful reintegration with school, further education, training or employment.
